We run both boom pumps and line pumps, and knowing which one to use comes down to the job itself. A boom pump is exactly what you want when you're working around obstacles, covering distance, or need precise placement without moving equipment around constantly. The articulating arm gives us reach and control that a line pump just can't match in certain situations. On the other hand, a line pump is a workhorse for tighter setups where you need steady, reliable output close to the pour.

The foundation work shown here is a good example of why prep matters just as much as the pour. Gravel base, rebar in place, clean trench walls - that's what we want to see before a single yard of concrete gets placed. Cutting corners at the footing stage always shows up later, and fixing a bad foundation is far more expensive than doing it right the first time.
